Lakers take Devin Ebanks with the 43rd pick

The Lakers did not have a first round pick in the draft, but they did have a second rounder. They selected Devin Ebanks a 6-9 forward from West Virginia. He was supposed to go in the first round, and when he fell into the Lakers laps they had to take him. Ebanks is a great defender, and has a lot of athletic ability. He reminds me of former Laker Trevor Ariza. When Trevor got drafted he was not a great shooter, like Ebanks. He should get some playing time next season as the back up small forward.

Here are some highlights of Devin and Mitch Kupchack talking about him and their other pick Derrick Caracter.
